Day 2: Arusha - Ngorongoro Crater
After an early breakfast, you will drive for approximately 3.5 hours through the scenic Karatu region and the northern Tanzanian highlands towards Ngorongoro Crater. Upon arrival at the entry gate you will drive another 45 minutes on the crater rim, stopping along the way at the viewpoint which offers a stunning panorama of the entire crater on clear days. Once you descend on to the crater floor you will be amazed by the concentration and sheer number and diversity of animals and bird life! Seated or standing in your safari vehicle, the game viewing opportunities will be endless... The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. On the crater floor you can expect to see herds of zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, topi and many more. Sightings of predators such as lion, hyena, jackal and bat-eared fox regularly occur here as well. Although cheetah and leopard are a little more scarce in this park, they can still be spotted with a little luck.  Ngorongoro Crater is also one of a handful of places in Africa where you have a very good chance of seeing rhino, though usually from a distance. Bird species are also numerous and varied here. After your wonderful safari day, you will be driven to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Ngorongoro - Serengeti National Park
After an early breakfast you will continue your journey through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on the way to Serengeti National Park. Here, the sublime landscapes are home to the Maasai herdsmen who live alongside the area's abundant wildlife. On your drive through the Conservation Area you may spot Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, giraffes, wildebeest, zebra,  buffalo and more. We will arrive at Serengeti National Park's Nabi Gate at lunchtime. Here we will eat lunch before embarking on our first game drive that will take us to the Seronera region in central Serengeti. Seronera is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park as the Seronera River provides a valuable water source to the area, therefore attracting an abundance of wildlife. After our wonderful afternoon exploring East Africa's most famous park, we will head to Mawe Tented Camp (or equivalent) for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will have a full day to explore Serengeti with both morning and afternoon game drives. The Serengeti National Park is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania’s game parks and offers arguably the best game viewing in Africa. The setting is perfect – a sea of endless plains that stretches to the horizon, dotted with the acacia trees and termite mounds. Serengeti is home to huge herds of wildebeest that every year make the mass migration north, through crocodile infested rivers, in a frenzied mixture of mating and galloping that is driven by instinct. Prides of lion rule here, as their hungry gazes sweep the savannah for a chance to attack one of the thousands of eland, impala and gazelle. Solitary leopards lie high in the branches of the acacia tree while herds of elephants roam at will. This is the Africa that you have always dreamed about. After another amazing day of explorations, you will return to your tented camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5: Serengeti - Karatu
After breakfast you will go on your last Serengeti game drive, visiting areas that you didn't see on the previous days. After lunch in the park, you will head towards the exit of Serengeti and drive back through the wonderful Ngorogngoro Conservation Area before arriving in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Eileens Tree Inn (or equivalent).

Day 6: Karatu - Tarangire National Park - Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will hit the road in direction of Tarangire National Park for your final game drive.
Tarangire is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere.
Every year during the dry season from June to November, the wildlife migrate through the park allowing for a very large number of different species to be seen here. As most of this part of the country is dry, the Tarangire River remains the only source of water and consequently attracts large numbers of wildebeests, elephants, gazelles, zebras, hartebeest, buffaloes and various predators such as lions and cheetahs that come to drink and graze around the river banks.
After a half-day game drive, you will exit the park and head back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel, or be driven to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on what you have planned for the rest of your stay in Tanzania.
