After breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you from your hotel and drive to Kilimanjaro National Park Marangu Gate, 1860m. The drive will take approximately 1 hour from Moshi. After registration, you will head directly into the park where you will start your trekking adventure. Alongside the impressive vegetation, you will have the chance to catch a glimpse of black and white colobus monkeys, blue monkeys and various bird species. Our knowledgeable English-speaking guide will inform you about Mount Kilimanjaro and will explain the different species of plants and animals available in the park. Depending on your fitness level, after 3-4 hours of walking you will arrive at Mandara Hut located at 9,000 feet (2,743 metres) above sea levelfor a delicious picnic lunch.
After lunch, you will trek further for about 15 minutes to the Maundi crater, another breathtakingly beautiful location on Kilimanjaro. You will be able to view the peak of his majesty Kilimanjaro on less cloudy days. After enjoying the astounding landscapes, you will start descending back for 2 hours to Marangu Gate. Our driver-guide will drive you from the gate to your hotel. On your return journey, you can enjoy the sunset and your memories of the day.
