About KLM Safaris

‘Kilimanjaro Safaris’ or ‘KLM Safaris’ for short is a Tanzanian registered Travel and Tourism Operator based in Moshi, Kilimanjaro. KLM Safaris is a  family-owned and operated company with over 10 years of experience in the tourism industry.  We are committed to social responsibility by investing in local communities through employment and training to Tanzanians. The company directors are professionals in the Tourism & Travel industry, particularly  in the field of trekking adventures and wildlife safaris. Our ambition is to work as a team of professionals to deliver tourism products that will meet our customer’s satisfaction.

Our Team

We have a qualified management team with experience in African wildlife tourism safaris, Kilimanjaro mountain trekking and volunteering with both local and international tour operators. For the past 10 years, our team has been involved in planning and managing tours ranging from solo, family and small group travel. Also, the team has been widely involved in volunteering projects with poor rural communities which include the following: medical, educational, entrepreneurship, environmental and conservation projects. Our commitment to wildlife safaris, community projects, and environmental conservation has been a rewarding experience to KLM Safaris and our travellers.

Our Kilimanjaro Guides

Meet Bryson: Bryson is our head mountain guide with over 20 years experience and lots of knowledge about the flora and fauna of the Kilimanjaro region. He is also our health and safety officer.

Meet Justo:  Justo is a professional Kilimanjaro mountian guide with over 18 years experience. He started climbing Kilimanjaro as a porter, and later became a cook, an assistant guide and finally a certified mountain guide.

Meet Lameck: Lameck is a professional licensed summit guide with over 30 years climbing experience on both Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru. Born on the foothills of Kilimanjaro, he started climbing as a porter in 1991. He has done over 450 Kilimanjaro climbs throughout his career on all the different routes and has assisted over 350 groups in summitting successfully. You will never fall asleep while climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with Lameck as he is a great singer and will always know how to cheer you up!

Meet Albert: Albert is a leader guide who started his mountain climbing career in 1995. He worked for several different Kilimanjaro trekking companies before joining our team.

Our Safari Guides

Meet John, Amani, Goodluck and Philip: These 4 men are all professional and licensed guides specialized in wildlife safaris. All of our guides have between 15 and 20 years experience in the tourism industry and have travelled through all of Tanzania’s National Parks, including some in Kenya and Uganda. Our safari guides will show you the magic of the African wilderness.

We are concerned about the health of the environment in all visited destinations. Our commitment is to minimize the environmental and social impact of travel. Through our carbon-neutral project, we have been encouraging our clients to participate in environmental conservation during their visit.
