Day 2: Arusha - Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast at your hotel, you will hit the road in direction of Lake Manyara National Park for your first game drive.   While the scenic beauty of this park certainly makes it worth a visit, the game viewing here is not as rewarding as in Tanzania's other Northern parks.  Nonetheless, famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, large concentration of elephants, buffalo and monkeys, as well as breath-taking scenery and soda-ash lake in the Centre, Manyara should definitely not be missed! Taking in the expansive views eastward, across the central soda lake you will be amazed by the sight of thousands of pink flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water birds such as storks, cormorants and pelicans. In the late afternoon you will be driven to  the Lodge (Full Board)

Day 3: Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park - Arusha
After an early breakfast you will drive for approximately 1.5hrs to Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. Every year during the dry season from June to November, the wildlife migrates through the park allowing for a very large number of different species to be seen here. As most of this part of the country is dry, the Tarangire River remains the only source of water and consequently attracts large numbers of wildebeests, elephants, gazelles, zebras, hartebeest, buffaloes and various predators such as lions and cheetahs that come to drink and graze around the river banks. Large swathes of Tarangire remain almost untouched, especially in the southern region of the park. With game-viewing that is exceptional in the dry season, this Tanzania safari park is a unique gem on the Northern safari circuit, especially if you love elephants! After an amazing game drive, you will begin your journey back to Arusha in the late afternoon. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or at Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport, depending on what your plans are for the remainder of your stay in Tanzania.
