Marangu Cultural Tours (Waterfall, Ancient Caves & Coffee Tasting Experience)

In the morning, we will pick you from your hotel in Moshi and take you to Marangu  at the fertile hills of Mount Kilimanjaro.  Marangu is a small town with a great amount of history and ancient traditions. Get carried away by the Chagga tribe, unique rain-forest landscapes, banana and coffee plantation. This day tour has it all: action, tradition and culinary. The area around Marangu is home to the local Chagga tribe and you will learn all about their history and traditions on this full day excursion. We will have an opportunity to visit the Chagga underground caves.  At this place we will visit a small coffee farm, where you will learn about how the coffee is grown, harvested and processed locally. Try your own hand at processing, roasting and preparing a fresh cup of organic coffee while dancing. We’ll spend a fascinating hour or so for this unique Kilimanjaro organic coffee tasting experience. Once you have finished enjoying your coffee break, our guide will then lead you through the coffee and banana plantations to a spectacular Ndoro Waterfalls  flowing from the foothills of Kilimanjaro  Mountain. On the way you will have the opportunity to take pictures of the mighty Kilimanjaro at the view point and get a sense of the spirit of the mountain. Our hike to the base of the waterfall will lead us through lush green landscapes  while spotting fauna and flora  in the area. Here you have the opportunity to relax and take a refreshing bath in the cold pool of the waterfall  and later drive back to Moshi.
