Day 1: Pick up from the Airport to Arusha Kibo Palace
On your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport in a member of our staff will be holding a placard of KLM Safaris with your Family name.  After welcome note, you will then be transferred to Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha which is about 1 hour drive from the Airport. On arrival in Arusha, you will check inn and take a rest for about 2hours. Later you will have 3 hours guided Arusha city tour in which you will visit National Natural History Museum, Cultural Heritage Centre, Meru Maasai Market, Central Market and Kilombero Market. Later you will return at Kibo Palace Hotel in Arusha for overnight (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 2: Tarangire National Park- Game Drive

Pick up from hotel in Arusha after your breakfast at 8:00 AM and start your journey to Tarangire National Park. The journey is about 3hours to the main entrance gate. You will arrive at Tarangire around 11am. You will do registration at the gate for 15-20 minutes and proceed with game drive in Tarangire National Park. You will have an opportunity to see Elephant, Lion, Wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, Impala, Gazelle, Hartebeest, Eland and many other animals crowding to Tarangire River and different kind of birds flocking around the river stream. Around noon you will have your lunch at the picnic site. After lunch at the picnic site, you will proceed with afternoon game drive. Later in the evening you Check inn at Eileen’s Tree Inn Lodge Karatu for an overnight (Full board).

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

After breakfast 08:00am, we will start our journey to Ngorongoro Crater it is closer 15 minutes’ drive from the hotel to the gate and 45 minutes to reach top of crater. After the registration formalities at the gate, we drive 45 minutes and you will you descend in 600 meters deep a 20kms across, and 300 sq kms caldera which is a breathtaking experience for the game drive. This magnificent crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals including some of Tanzania’s last remaining Black Rhino. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro crater support a vast variety of animals, which include herds of Wildebeest, Zebra, Buffalo, Eland, Warthog, Hippo, and giant African Elephants. Another uniqueness of the crater is its huge population of predators, which include Lions, Hyenas, Jackals, Cheetahs and the ever-elusive Leopard. In the afternoon, you will enjoy your picnic lunch at the Hippo pool. Later, you will continue with afternoon game drive for 2-3hours then after you will ascend to the top of the crater and enjoy the view of the crater from your Lodge. Dinner and overnight at Rhino Lodge (Full board).

Day 4: Ngorongoro to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will proceed to Serengeti for about 4hours from Ngorongoro with on-route game drive. After about 3 hours you will arrive at Serengeti Naabi entrance gate and have your picnic lunch. The Serengeti National Park is the jewel in the crown of Tanzania’s game parks and offers arguably the best game viewing in Africa. The setting is perfect – a sea of endless plains that stretches to the horizon, dotted with the occasional acacia tree and termite mound. This Savannah is home to huge herds of buffalo that every year make the mass migration north during August/September, through crocodile infested rivers, in a frenzied mixture of mating and galloping that is driven by instinct. Prides of lion rule here, their hungry gaze sweeping the Savannah for a chance to attack the thousands of elands, impala and gazelle. Solitary leopard stakes out their place in the high branches of the acacia tree and herds of elephant’s roam at will. This is Africa that you have always dreamed about. Dinner and Overnight at Mawe Tented Camp (Full board).

Day 5: Full day in Serengeti National Park Game Drive

Another beautiful day in Serengeti. Today you will have full day to explore Serengeti National Park. You will wake up early in the morning at 6:00am for early 1-2 hours sunrise game drive with your breakfast box. Later you will have your picnic breakfast at 8:00am. You can as well go back to your lodge if you prefer having your breakfast there. If you like to watch wildlife from another perspective, we recommend you to go on a 45 min hot air balloon safari (this is optional activity available on request for $550 per person and huge discounts for children). It is an amazing experience to drift silently above the plains with herds of wildlife. If the migration will be closer your driver guide will drive for about 2 hours west central Serengeti, explore the migration near ndutu area for 2 hours, have picnic lunch and later return to your lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mawe Tented Camp. If the migration will still be far away you can decide to do your game drive around central Serengeti (Full Board)

Day 6: Serengeti to Karatu Via Ngorongoro

After breakfast, you will do final third day game in Serengeti while driving to the Southern Serengeti, our professional guide will insure you enjoying the wild by taking you to the sporting areas. Later afternoon you will have your picnic lunch and continue with en-route afternoon game drive. You will leave Serengeti in the afternoon and pass over the top of Ngorongoro crater to Karatu Town. Dinner and overnight at Eileens Trees Inn, there is swimming opportunity and free WiFi (full Board).

Day 7:Karatu to Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe Tour)

After breakfast you our driver will start a journey to Lake Eyasi, which is a mildly alkaline lake about 50km in length. The meadows along the shores of the lake are home to leopards, hippos, various monkeys and birds. On arrival you will do Cultural visits in the area. Among other places, you will visit the Datoga pastoralists and members of the Hadzabe tribe. The Hadzabe are one of two remaining hunter-gatherer tribes in Tanzania. There are approximately 1500 families left in this tribe. Lake Eyasi offers excellent views of the Rift Valley escarpment and is an ideal destination for relaxing and bird-watching. After activities you will have your lunch and later in the afternoon, drive to Karatu. Dinner and Accommodation at Marera Valley Lodge/ Eileens Tree Inn (full board)

Day 8: Lake Manyara Game Drive and Mto wa Mbu Village tour

After breakfast at Karatu, you will start driving to Lake Manyara National park about 30min from Karatu Town.  You will start game drive till noon and stop at the picnic site for lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Mto wa mbu a village adjacent to the park.  Your guide will be from the village itself so you will have a unique opportunity to see the community through his eyes. Tours last around 2 hours, but are flexible. During your visit you’ll get a good feel for the social side of the village – the farms and the milling machines, the schools, markets and churches. You’ll likely start in the village banana plantation, where they grow different varieties of bananas. Then you on the way you will visit milling machines, schools and a church. Next you might visit a youth art project, and learn about the different painting styles and techniques. The artists are happy for you to ask questions and take photos. Your tour will finish in the bustling local market, where you can wander around stalls selling fruit and vegetables stalls, spices and meal. After your tour you will proceed to Moshi for an overnight at Park View Inn/ Panama Garden Resort (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 9: Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour in Moshi

 

You will leave the hotel 8:00 am after breakfast to Materuni Waterfalls and Coffee Tour. Materuni Waterfall is the highest and most impressive waterfall at the foothill of Mt. Kilimanjaro. You’ll visit a coffee farm and learn about how coffee is grown, harvested and processed, and you’ll try your hand at roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee the Chagga way. After coffee tour and test you’ll take a beautiful 30 minutes hike through the hills and valleys en route to the Materuni. The valleys and hills are covered by tropical rainforest, coffee, banana and avocado “shambas”, the Kiswahili word for farms. On a clear day great view of Kibo and Moshi town can be seen during hiking. The hike to the base of the Waterfall can be demanding and hiking boots are recommended. Finally, you can refresh at the waterfall’s cold water, so don’t forget to bring your swim wear. Later you will leave back to Moshi town at 1pm. Later return to Moshi Accommodation at Park View Inn/ Panama Garden Resort (Bed and Breakfast)

Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, relax in the morning at the hotel, afternoon final shopping at Moshi. Recommended, I-curio shop and then Lunch in the city at Blossoms later proceed to Airport 4pm and arrive 5pm and fly home
