Day 2: Arusha – Tarangire National Park - Karatu
Today you will be picked up at your hotel after breakfast and hit the road in direction of Tarangire National Park. Tarangire is a lovely, quiet park in Northern Tanzania. It is most famous for its elephant migration, birding and authentic safari atmosphere. Every year during the dry season from June to November, the wildlife migrate through the park allowing for a very large number of different species to be seen here. As most of this part of the country is dry, the Tarangire River remains the only source of water and consequently attracts large numbers of wildebeests, elephants, gazelles, zebras, hartebeest, buffaloes and various predators such as lions and cheetahs that come to drink and graze around the river banks. Large swathes of Tarangire remain almost untouched, especially in the southern region of the park.  With game-viewing that is exceptional in the dry season, this Tanzania safari park is a unique gem on the Northern safari circuit, especially if you love elephants!. After your amazing full-day game drive, you will head to your hotel in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu
After an early breakfast (around 7:00 AM) you will arrive at Ngorongoro Crater following a scenic drive through the Karatu region and Northern Tanzania's highlands. Upon arrival at the gate of Ngorongoro and after registering, you will drive for another 45 minutes on the crater rim before descending onto the crater floor. At Ngorongoro you will be amazed by the concentration and sheer number and diversity of animals and bird life! Seated or standing in your safari vehicle, the game viewing opportunities will be endless. The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in East Africa to see the Big Five. Down here on the crater floor you can expect to see herds of zebra, wildebeest, Thomson’s gazelle, Grant’s gazelle, topi and many more. Sightings of predators such as lion, hyena, jackal and bat-eared fox regularly occur here as well. Although cheetah and leopard are a little more scarce in this park, they can still be spotted with a little luck.  Ngorongoro Crater is also one of a handful of places in Africa where you have a very good chance of seeing rhino, though usually from a distance. Bird species are also numerous and varied here. After this wonderful safari day, you will be driven back to your hotel in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4: Karatu - Lake Manyara National Park - Arusha
After an early breakfast at your hotel, you will once again hit the road in direction of Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive. While the scenic beauty of this park certainly makes it worth a visit, the game viewing here is not as rewarding as in Tanzania's other Northern parks.  Nonetheless, famous for its tree-climbing lions, flamingos, large concentration of elephants, buffalo and monkeys, as well as breath-taking scenery and soda-ash lake in the center, Manyara should definitely not be missed!. Following your game drive in Manyara, you will have enough time for some shopping on the way back to Arusha, as well as a short tour in a Maasai Boma (village) in the town of Mto Wa Mbu which is also on the way back. You will be dropped off at your hotel in Arusha or be driven to Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro International Airport depending on what you have planned for the rest of your stay in Tanzania.
