1-Day Mkomazi National Park Exploration
$290
per person
Experience wild Africa in Mkomazi National Park. The wildlife you’ll see here might include elephants that come in across the border from Kenya, as well as oryx, eland, kudu, and Coke’s hartebeest. You might even see the long-necked gerenuk. Birdlife is another highlight, and this is a real hot spot for bird-watchers, drawn here by over 400 different kinds of birds. But most people also love the classic safari landscapes—the views of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the baobab and acacia trees, the low rocky hills, and the wild bushland. And best of all, you might just have this place all to yourself.

Day plan
Early in the morning, around 6:30 am, your guide will pick you up at your accommodation center. Commencing a journey takes approximately 4-5 hours from Moshi to Mkomazi National Park, offering picturesque views of the Tanzanian countryside. Upon arrival, you'll complete the entry formalities, and then your guide will provide an overview of the day's itinerary and highlight key attractions. After all, you will start a game drive toward different areas where you will see different animals of your interest until noon, when you will drive to the picnic center for your packed lunch. After lunch, visitors can visit the African Wild Dog Project, where rare and endangered predators are actively protected and bred for release into the wild. As the day winds down, a final game drive is undertaken to spot any missed wildlife, providing excellent opportunities for photography and game viewing. After a fulfilling day of exploration and wildlife viewing, guests will return to Moshi, arriving back at their hotel in the early evening. End of the day trip.
